Returns & Refunds Policy

Your Right to Cancel

Under the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act (ECTA), you have the right to cancel your order within 7 days of receiving your goods, without giving any reason and without penalty.

1. 7-Day Cooling-Off Period

If you purchased goods online, you may return them within 7 days of delivery for a full refund, provided:

  • The goods are unused and in original packaging
  • All tags and labels are still attached
  • You have proof of purchase
  • You notify us in writing before returning

2. Defective Goods (CPA Rights)

Under the Consumer Protection Act, you have the right to return defective goods within 6 months of purchase. A product is considered defective if it:

  • Does not work as expected
  • Is not fit for its intended purpose
  • Does not match the description or sample
  • Has a manufacturing defect

For defective goods, you may choose to receive a refund,replacement, or repair at no cost.

3. Items That Cannot Be Returned

The following items are excluded from our return policy:

  • Perishable goods (food, flowers, etc.)
  • Sealed goods unsuitable for return due to health or hygiene reasons once unsealed
  • Goods made to your specifications or personalized
  • Digital content once downloaded or accessed
  • Gift cards and vouchers

4. How to Return an Item

  1. Contact Us: Email returns@elevatetech.co.za with your order number and reason for return
  2. Receive Authorization: We will provide you with a Return Authorization Number (RAN)
  3. Pack the Item: Securely package the item in its original packaging
  4. Ship or Drop Off: Send the item to our returns address or drop it off at a designated location
  5. Receive Refund: Once we receive and inspect the item, we will process your refund within 14 business days

5. Refund Processing

Refunds will be processed using the same payment method used for the original purchase:

  • Credit/Debit Cards: 5-10 business days
  • EFT: 3-5 business days
  • Store Credit: Immediate

6. Return Shipping Costs

  • 7-Day Cooling-Off: You are responsible for return shipping costs
  • Defective Goods: We will cover return shipping costs
  • Wrong Item Sent: We will cover return shipping costs and send the correct item
